That is down $173.2, or about 4.1%. Four of the five days closed lower. The only higher close was Wednesday 21 October, up $7.4 to $4,150.0. The largest daily drop came on Thursday 22 October, −$89.6 to $4,060.4, which was also the channels' worst day. Friday took off another $52.5.

Channels and sessions this week

354 channels were active. 179 ended the week in profit and 175 in loss, close to an even split. By the end of Wednesday the week stood at +€36,410; Thursday took back about three quarters of it. Of the 352 active channels, 172 finished in profit and 180 in loss, so the combined total does not mean a typical channel made money. Counting individual signals, 1,278 closed with all their orders in profit and 531 with all their orders in loss; the other 972 were neither.

What gold futures did

Gold futures closed at $4,170.1 on 15 October, the day before the week started. They then closed at $4,181.1, $4,160.1, $4,142.6, $4,150.0 and finally $4,060.4 on 22 October: down $109.7 over the week. Thursday alone was a drop of $89.6, and it was also the channels' worst day. We report the coincidence; the data doesn't tell us why gold moved.

Sessions, and the best and worst channels

Average result per signal, by New York-time session:

Asia: +€1.9 per signal (1,407 signals)

London: +€26 per signal (726 signals)

New York: −€20.2 per signal (648 signals)

Among channels with at least five signals, the week's top three were F••• V••• S••• (+€4,859 on 5 signals), G••• T••• A••• (+€4,371 on 5) and X••• (+€4,147 on 11). At the bottom: H••• (−€6,514 on 20 signals), X••• P••• H••• (−€5,707 on 12) and J••• U••• G••• (−€3,367 on 13). Five signals is a tiny sample, and a good week tells you nothing reliable about the next one. We showed how quickly a winners' list turns over in Last month's winners don't stay winners: of September's top 20, 11 were in loss in October so far.

Gold signals weekly results in context

Since 7 September, all 743 channels we follow add up to −€322,814, and only 9 of 34 trading days ended positive. Thursday's −€27,971 hurt, but the worst single day so far was −€69,536. Over the full period every session lost money on average: −€32.7 per signal in Asia, −€15.3 in London and −€11.8 in New York. This week London and Asia came out ahead, while New York did not.

Every euro figure above comes from orders actually placed at the broker on our demo account. Two in three channels with a real track record lost money, and the whole set ended at −€322,250.

For seven weeks we opened every signal from 743 Telegram gold channels on a single broker account and let the broker close each one. No channels picked, none skipped, nothing closed by hand. This is the scoreboard.

What we did

Each signal becomes one order per target, with the channel’s own stop loss, opened on a MetaTrader 5 account in about three and a half seconds from the Telegram message. From 7 September to 23 October 2026:

743gold channels tracked

13,826signals executed

66,137orders opened at the broker

Followed all together, at 0.1 lot per order, the whole set ended the seven weeks at −€322,250. That one number is why a ranking matters: the average channel is not a plan.

Two in three channels lose money

Among the 471 channels with at least ten closed signals:

305ended in the red (65%)

166ended in profit

−€440result of the median channel

Channels with 10+ signals · all-time result

305 · in the red

166 · up

Net lossNet profit

A few channels do make money over these weeks. The hard part is never finding one that is up today — it is telling it apart from the many that are up by luck, and catching the moment it turns.

Green days are rare

Add up every channel on each trading day and most days are red: of 34 trading days, 9 were positive and 25 negative, with a worst day of −€69,536. One good day does not pay for the run of bad ones.

When the signal arrives matters

Average result per signal by market session, New York time:

−€32.7Asian hours

−€15.3London

−€11.8New York

Signals fired during Asian hours lose almost three times as much as New York ones. Every session is negative on average, but not equally.

Why this is an audit, not a review

Executed, not simulated. Every signal is really opened and closed at the broker, not replayed on a chart afterwards.

Every signal counts. Wins and losses, stops and missed targets. Nothing is cherry-picked, and 1,929 channels have already been dropped on their own numbers.

Re-ranked every day. A channel at the top this week can be losing next week, so the score is never final.

In the dashboard every channel carries this record, signal by signal, with its name and Telegram link. Here the names are hidden on purpose: the point of this post is the shape of the whole market, not any one channel.

Originally published on xauaudit.com.

“TP1 hit” is not a winning trade

One in three signals that reached their first target still lost money. Here is why the most common post on Telegram gold channels says very little.

“TP1 hit ✅” is the post you see most on Telegram gold channels. It sounds like a win. Often it isn’t: in our records, one in three signals that reached the first target ended with a net loss.

How a signal really plays out

A typical gold signal has an entry, a stop loss and three to five targets. Followed to the letter, it becomes one order per target, each with the same stop. When the price touches TP1, only the first order closes in profit. The others stay open, and if gold turns around they all close at the stop.

SELL XAUUSD 4,032 · SL 4,040 · TP1 4,028 · TP2 4,024 · TP3 4,020 · TP4 4,012

TP1 hit order 1 +4 $
reversal orders 2–4 stopped at 4,040 −8 $ × 3

Result: “TP1 hit ✅” on the channel, −20 $ per 1 oz on your account

The channel posts the target. The three stops usually go unmentioned.

What our records show

We execute every signal this way at a broker: one order per target, the channel’s own stop, nothing closed by hand. In the signals recorded in our channel histories, from late August to 23 October 2026:

1,748signals reached at least the first target

585of them still ended with a net loss

421signals hit the stop without touching any target

Signals that hit TP1 · final result of all their orders

1,163 · 67%

585 · 33%

Profit or flatNet loss after TP1

Out of 2,169 signals, only 1,025 reached every target. The rest are where the money is actually made or lost, and they rarely make it into the channel’s posts.

What to look at instead

Net result per signal, all orders together. One number, not a list of ticks.

How often TP1 turns into a loss. A channel with a high share of these has targets that are close and stops that are far.

Results over weeks, not posts over hours. Screenshots are chosen; a broker statement isn’t.

That is what the dashboard shows for every channel: the net of every order the broker closed, signal by signal.

Originally published on xauaudit.com.

Last month’s winners don’t stay winners

The 20 best gold channels of September made +€70,688. In October the same 20 lost €8,684, and 11 of them turned negative.

Every month the same thing happens: a handful of channels post a great run, screenshots go around, and new followers arrive just in time for the bad weeks. We measured how long a good month lasts.

September’s top 20, one month later

We took the 20 channels with the best result in September 2026 on our demo account and looked at what the same 20 did in October.

+€70,688the 20 best channels in September

−€8,684the same 20 channels in October

11 of 20turned negative

More than half of the best channels of the month were losing money the month after. A ranking is a photograph of the past, and in gold signals it goes out of date fast.

Following everyone is worse

If picking last month’s winners doesn’t work, following every channel is not the answer either. Across all the channels we executed, from 7 September to 22 October:

−€322,250all channels together in seven weeks

9 / 25positive days / negative days

−€69,536worst single day

Of the channels with at least 10 signals, 305 were losing and 166 were in profit. The median channel was at −€440. The market of gold signals as a whole loses money; the question is only which channels, right now, are the exception.

What this means in practice

Check the trend, not the total. A big all-time number can hide a channel that has been losing for two weeks.

Expect the ranking to change. We recalculate it every day for this reason.

Be wary of the screenshot month. When a channel is being shared everywhere, its best weeks are usually behind it.

Our Elite roster only admits channels whose results are still rising over the last 10 trading days, and drops them when they stop. Channels join and leave every week.

Originally published on xauaudit.com.

A high win rate is not a result

16 channels that close at least 6 signals in 10 in profit are still losing money. The win rate leaves out the size of the losses.

“87% win rate” is the most common line in a channel’s description. It is also one of the least useful numbers you can be given, because it says how often you win and nothing about how much.

The arithmetic

A channel with tight targets and wide stops wins often and loses big. Seven wins out of ten looks excellent until you add them up:

7 signals × +€100 = +€700
3 signals × −€300 = −€900
----------------------------------
win rate 70% −€200

That is not a rare case. It is the normal shape of a channel that moves the stop away and takes profit early.

What our records show

We looked at the 117 channels with at least 20 signals in our records and counted, for each, the signals closed in profit against those closed in loss (signals that ended partly at a target and partly at the stop are left out).

106channels close at least 6 in 10 signals in profit

16of them are losing money anyway

7 of 77channels at 7 in 10 or better are still negative

A high win rate is common. A positive result is not the same thing, and the gap between the two is the size of the average loss.

Better numbers to look at

Net result in money, over all orders, at a fixed size.

Return per euro risked (we call it Return R): it puts channels with small and large stops on the same scale.

The worst case: what the channel loses when things go wrong, not on average.

Proof: whether the result is large enough, over enough signals, not to be luck.

All four are in the dashboard for every channel. How they are calculated is on the methodology page.

Originally published on xauaudit.com.
